¡Feliz Año Nuevo! / Happy New Year!
El 2014 transcurrió de una manera extraña y sin cambios importantes, como si el tiempo se detuviera por momentos y en otros parecía que revivia situaciones de años pasados. Necesitaba tiempo para reponerme del 2013 en el que solo experimenté situaciones tristes, sentimientos de pérdida y nuevos vacíos que me impedían enfocarme en mi trabajo o en desarrollar mi carrera.
En los últimos meses he aprendido mucho, he aceptado a la persona que en realidad soy y me siento bien con los cambios en mi estilo de hacer arte. Nuevas metas nacieron y por fin puedo concentrarme en alcanzarlas.
Pienso que el segundo semestre del 2014 fue el más productivo; me puse pequeños retos como volver a dibujar rostros pero esta vez a lápiz, algunos más realistas que otros, además de jugar un poco con agregar elementos abstractos para encontrar mi propia voz entre estos dos estilos.
Me obsesioné con los marcadores y lápices en general, quiero probar varias marcas, espero profundizar en este tema en próximas entradas.
Me he propuesto escribir, compartir más sobre mi proceso así que no olviden visitarme. A todos los que me siguen aquí y en mis otras páginas les deseo un excelente año y de verdad les agradezco por su apoyo al seguir mi trabajo. :)
2014 went by in a strange way, without major changes, as if time stopped at times and in other situations seemed like I relived past years. I needed time to recover from 2013, in which I only experienced sad situations, feelings of loss and new gaps that prevented me from focusing on my work or developing my career.
In recent months I have learned a lot, I have accepted the person I really am and I feel good about the changes in my way of making art. New goals were born and I can finally concentrate on achieving them.
I think the second half of 2014 was the most productive; I started small challenges like drawing again portraits but this time with graphite, some more realistic than others, I also played around with adding abstract elements to find my own voice between these two styles.
I became obsessed with markers and pencils in general, I tried several brands and I hope to write more about this topic in future posts.
I have the intention to write and share more about my process so please do not forget to visit me. To all those who follow me here and on my other pages I wish you a great year and I really thank you for your support by following my work. :)
